We already had a no-faking policy at Audio Ease:
When you click on a particular cathedral, or an antique radio, and you think you are hearing it, you are.
This extends naturaly to the use of AI:
We do not generate anything you see or hear using AI.
Obviously we do not fake IRs or photos, but also we do not use AI in denoising the tail of a reverb or enhancing the resolution of a photo. When a recording or a photo turns out to be too noisy, we clean it up using traditional methods, but we don’t want to run the risk AI generates something that hasn’t been there at the moment we captured reality.
This policy includes our Youtube videos, user-interface design, foley audio, demo music, website graphics, anything you see or hear at or from Audio Ease is real, made by humans and not by generative AI.
That is our policy.
✅
So where we can use AI, and sometimes do, is for instance in searching the web, helping us in computer programming, and finding locations to record.
