Dark horse cabin drum room
Recorded: Dec 14, 2009
Engineer: Arjen van der Schoot
One of the reasons for bands to drive the 30 miles out of Nashville must certainly be the extraordinary drum sound produced by the stone wall and high ceilings of the drum room in the Cabin, one of Dark Horse's many recording rooms.
I went there one monday morning early to record this set of impulse responses with George Massenburg's Genelec 1032 and my trusted DPA 4006's mounted on the spider. Thank you Russell Wolff for helping us book these recordings and assisting and photographing during sessions.
