| The time-frequency, or waterfall diagram, shows the reverb's frequency content through time. The axis pointing upward is the decibel axis. The color scheme (beginning with the brief white, quickly moving through blue, and slowly through red and yellow) is repeated every full second of the reverb tail, to indicate time. A regular wave form is plotted next to, and time aligned with the waterfall to give a clearer picture of the reverb's overal amplitude through time. From this diagram you will notice immediately that in real-life rooms high frequencies decay quicker than low frequencies. Resonances can be seen as well as the effects of the damping, eq, decay and the several gain parameters. When zoomed in to the first half second of the reverb, the early ref and tail delays can be clearly seen.
