Sampling a piece of gear or an actual acoustic space is something you can do yourself. You can make location recordings using the equipment of your choice, edit a bit afterwards and use the complementary application Altiverb IR Pre-Processor to make them into Impulse Response presets.

All the info you need to do this is in the Altiverb Manual chapters 9 10 and 11. The Altiverb manual.pdf is installed by both the demo installer and the full installer.You can find a quick overview here

In addition we will be happy to help you make your impulse responses. Do not hesitate to contact us at ir@audioease.com if you have additional questions, or if we can be of assistance.

If you have made an Impulse Response that you are willing to share with other Altiverb users, Audio Ease can add them to this site.

If you send an e-mail to ir@audioease.com you will receive instructions on how to upload your samples and associated pictures. Audio Ease will create the proper installers around your impulse responses and create links to them in the user submission area of this site.

There are a few rules:

1. Audio Ease will not pay you for your impulse responses.
2. Audio Ease will not sell the impulse response you make available.
3. Audio Ease may distribute the impulse responses you make available on a future Installer CD-ROM.
